Tequila Mexican Restaurant & Cantina – Authentic Mexican Cuisine & Top-Tier Service in Fort Wayne

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Tequila Mexican Restaurant tonight. The only thing better than the food was the incredible service — seriously top-tier. The chips and salsa beat us to our table, and the staff refused to let us run out. Every time the bowl got low, someone was already there with a fresh refill. Thany ordered the chicken quesadilla — packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and ridiculously good. I went with the steak and shrimp burrito, and it might be one of the best I’ve ever had — loaded, tender, and full of authentic flavor. If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in. ???????? 5 stars all the way.

Visited on a Friday evening, prime dinner time and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. It was a full house but service was very prompt. The entire staff was very friendly and our server was great. We order the beef empanadas, birria quesadillas, birria tacos and horchata. The food was fresh and tasty. The horchata good but wasn’t our favorite, we are picky when it comes to horchata. Theirs was very heavy on cinnamon. The consommé was delicious, had a lot of flavor. It was all around a great experience.

We catered for our daughter’s graduation party. They even brought and set up the food. We had tons of compliments of how great everything tasted. We ordered a taco bar with all of the fixings as well as guacamole. We had plenty of food and even a little extra for home. Highly recommend them and their staff went above and beyond for our special event!!

Can’t say enough about the quality food and amazing service that Tequila delivers every time we eat out here. The owners strive and succeed in providing high quality service and high quality Mexican cuisine! Yet, I want to brag on another aspect of the owners of this restaurant. Ben & Raul, go out of their way to give back to the community in many different ways. They not only treat their employees like family they also provide fundraisers that significantly help the community. I can testify to this because I am a teacher and for two years running now they have not only blessed us with a day and a percentage of meals from customers coming from our school, but they always give more than we earned. They love giving back! I highly recommend Tequila Mexican Restaurant & Cantina for your family or evening night out with your business, you won’t regret it!

The best service. Authentic , real Mexican food, genuine outstanding service. There is plenty of parking. It is semi truck friendly!! As a fellow truck driver, their food hit the spot, their service is old school hospitality, and the place is gorgeous inside with great music. I am stopping here every chance I can! And the food was made delicious and fast!!! Ya'll gotta come here and try it for yourselves!! And the horchata is creamy and authentic! No watered down bs real homemade horchata! They put care in the food The food is made with love from Grandma's kitchen type of good! My grandma just passed away a couple weeks ago, and this is actually the first time I've tasted food so close to hers in a long while. As a fellow Latina, not many places actually taste great anymore, aside from my own or family's cooking. Fort Wayne, Ya'll have a gem of a restaurant. Ya'll got a forever customer out of me!

My family goes to Tequila from time to time whenever we’re craving authentic Mexican food and it never disappoints. The flavors are bold and fresh, portions are generous, and the service is always friendly. Whether it’s tacos, enchiladas or a plate of sizzling fajitas, everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Definitely one of our go-to spots in Fort Wayne for genuine Mexican flavors.

First time trying this place. Inside is your typical ornate Mexican restaurant, with friendly staff. Menu you had a variety of your typical flare, and food was delicious. Tableside guacamole was very good, in addition of pork rinds on top was a pleasant. Shrimp tacos were fantastic, and the birria chimichanga was 10/10 and completely stuffed with meat. Tilapia Mexicana is pretty much the perfect dish! Elote side was also great. Only issue we noted was the happy birthday song which played 2 to 3 times, was fun but incredibly loud!

Moved from Chicago to Fort Wayne and looking for good Mexican food we didn’t try much but we always get the molcajete it was so good carne asada, chicken the shrimp has so much flavor. My daughter is picky and she got a side of rice she loved it. If I knew how to whistle I would have whistled when my plate came out. You just have to know what to order at these type of restaurants.
